Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
To learn, understand and complete production processes to the standard expected by the employer, use the correct tools correctly, safely and efficiently to complete the process. Maintain 5s standards throughout the shift and improve the working environment where possible. Always try to prevent errors, however if they occur report them correctly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the program a lot because it teaches me new skills that I can absorb from both the work and college environment that I am and will be able to utilize into other aspects of work and personal life. I also enjoy that the program encourages a social aspect too from the other apprentices around.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt how to efficiently follow a production process to the highest standard achievable, I have learnt how to complete my task as quickly as possible while still minimizing errors and risks as well as learning what the 5s are and how to maintain them in a working environment.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My program is well structured both in the workplace and at college, within the workplace there is a set out plan for when certain additional skills will be worked on via placements in work however, since starting the program we haven't seen the plan again and it hasn't been strictly followed. The college side is structured well also because there is a time plan with when deadlines are for certain assignments.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
When starting the apprenticeship, the employer provided lots of support, they ensured we knew our way around the workplace and how everything worked, frequent check ins occurred and meetings were held to see how we were getting on, however most of these things stopped after returning from Christmas and we now receive very little support from the apprenticeship team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider provides sufficient support to me throughout the apprenticeship program working towards my qualifications, they hold progress review meetings in regular intervals to see how I am getting on and provide helpful feedback, the course leader also provides frequent support when needed throughout the assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel that my qualification doesn't help me perform better in my role as much as I initially had expected it was going too, my qualification is good and interesting, I enjoy the qualification however, the things I learn on the qualification are yet too clearly fall into place at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
My work do run multiple choices of extra curricular activities both for everyone and some for just apprentices, for example there are sports teams run within work that anyone can join, there is also the green power green goblin kart challenge for just apprentices too be involved with during their program.
