Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Work alongside engineers in the maintenance environment to service aircraft and learn the skills I require to become an engineer. I’m currently in long haul maintenance which is mostly A and B checks alongside general servicing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I absolutely love my job and couldn’t be happier. Slightly worried that there may be a change to our shift pattern that’d put us on two days two nights however.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I’ve learnt many news hand skills during my apprenticeship as well as all the knowledge required to fill out maintenance paperwork.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
In general the programme is fairly well structured however I do feel some things could be better organised. I still don’t have my stamp or tools tags for example.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Both our managers, Mike and Abi, are incredible. They’ll always go out there way to help you.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Plenty. They made sure we where well looked after and housed very nicely during our exam modules and had regular check ins to ensure our welfare.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My qualifications have given me essential knowledge for working in the maintenance environment.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Plenty. No one is forced into them, but they’re there if you want them.
