Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role differs as I rotate through my placements over 4 years. Currently I am in the terminal as a Customer Experience Rep supporting our customers with a smooth check in process. I also study at university one day a week as I work towards my chartered business management degree.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy how no day is the same, how each day you’re faced with challenges that you learn how to overcome and I love how transparent everyone has been. In my current role, I have received an abundance of support from colleagues who have supported me to learn new skills. I have enjoyed how much I have learnt about myself and the skills I have learnt. One thing that I feel could be worked on is the communication as sometimes things are left until last minute due to many factors.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have learnt skills of communication, professional writing, confidence, maturity, being transparent and many more personal and people skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Our placements are well organised and we are kept up to date with what we are doing at what time. Sometimes, the lack of communication means colleagues are kept out of the loop with what is required of us. I know there are lots of factors that impact this and our business partners do their best to prevent this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I feel supported by my employer and my business partner does do her best to prevent us from worrying about certain things. We are kept up to date with dates and events that we are working on and BA does their best to help us get involved in lots of things that will add to our skills.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We get a good amount of time to work on assignments and recently received self study days to ensure we have enough time to complete them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It’s very relevant. For example, our module on professional academic writing helps me write professional emails to stakeholders.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes many. For example, we are all helping in the flying start games to raise money for charity.
