Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Learning and perfecting new skills
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
I didn't really. It was disorganized and it still continues to be. Because it was a new course, people doesn't seem to want to make it better or help us out.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes, i learnt domestic and production skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
It was disorganized and it still continues to be. Because it was a new course, people doesn't seem to want to make it better or help us out. The course itself did not start until 4 months later and finished earlier when we were not ready for our gateway.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
My employer kept getting in touch with the college but it seemed Chichester college did not care enough to make the matters better.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
None! The teacher quit before us doing a proper practice for our EPA. She would roll her eyes if I were to ask her to show me something one more time (keep in mind I didn't have ANY sewing experience before). We were left in the dark with all of our questions about our portfolios. Now the college says there is no space and time for us to practice and our EPA is in 2 weeks. Ridiculous!
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
Sewing at college and sewing at work is different. At college is domestic and we worked with fabrics. At work - we work with leather. We got to learn different skills for different occasions.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, we have charity events such as bake off, sports days, school events for future careers.
