Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
On a day to day basis I manage client accounts. Making payments, completing trades, general admin and answering client queries via email and call.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The programme offers the best of university and work giving both a degree and experience. My role varies daily and I enjoy being trusted to meet and talk to clients.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed client relationship skills both in person, over the phone and via email. My time management and priority management has also improved across the apprenticeship

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is well structured but as the first cohort there is a lack of detail surrounding the end of the programme. The discussion with the university of Exeter for providing lectures and content could also be improved as they do not seem to take on our feedback.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My managers are brilliant and very supportive. When you join you receive both a work mentor and a buddy to help ease your transition. The induction is also a very thorough and engaging period.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
We receive support from Exeter however the quality of this support is poor. I do not believe much, if any, of the content delivered by Exeter has improved my learning as the quality of teaching is poor. This has been provided as feedback but the issue is with the provider not UBS.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The CFA level 1 and degree are great qualifications to obtain and will help within my career in finance. Whilst I intend to sit all three CFA levels, the course isn’t very relevant to my division and others do not get the chance to choose an alternative.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are lots of networks which I am a member of however there are not many clubs or sports teams to my knowledge.
