Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role at Chubb is a Claims Adjuster in the casualty department. Claims are made every day against companies that we insure, and my job is to investigate these claims and see if the claimant is successful or not in being compensated. My day-to-day role involves corresponding on ongoing claims, investigating them and partaking in training to better my skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The apprenticeship programme has been very enjoyful. In being with such a successful company like Chubb, there are plenty of opportunities that are presented to us, including travelling to various ther offices around Europe and socialising with the other apprentices.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned as well as developed a whole lot of new and existing skills. I wasn't very literate in applications such as excel, however know how to work it now. My email writing has became much better and I continue to learn various other skills from experienced colleagues.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is fairly structured and organised well, with very little downsides. From the one and a half years of being part of it already, I have found very little negative aspects of it and have found my time fairly plain-sailing.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer continue to give the apprentices huge amounts of support so that we can balance our time from on-the-job work and studying. All f the colleagues in the company that I have came across all share the same support and want to see the apprentices succeed and do well.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider have been great when I have been working towards exams, they provide you with all of the materials required, and are always cooperating with my employer.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I would quite confidently say that the qualification helps me to perform better in my role. I learn things when I'm studying towards exams, that I should be knowing for my role and area I work in and so it proves to be a great help.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are often networking events, and social events, organised by external companies that provide a service to Chubb or vice-versa. There is always charity work that is organised too that everyone likes to get involved in, and the company support you in doing so.

Why?
Chubb is a great company to work for! Every colleague I have came across are so nice and want to see you succeed. Everyone supports each other, and there is great opportunities within the company.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Chubb Insurance?
I would say just to go for it! I never knew what I would be getting into in pursuing a career that is focused around working in an office but I love it. The opportunities are endless and insurance is a great career to get into, one that can be very rewarding.
