Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I have no day-to-day responsibilities. On a day-to-day basis I am working on longer term projects which involves speaking to other areas of the business, data work, creating presentation decks, etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy the programme. My line manger and apprenticeship mentor are constantly checking in with me to make sure I have everything I need to complete my work and help me if I feel there are gaps.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my excel skills a lot since I joined. When starting I had no experience with excel, but due to my role and exposure to the app I have made serious progress in this area of my work. What you improve on, depends on the nature of you work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well structured. We have one day off from work to complete our University modules which usually last 8-10 weeks each.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive help when I ask or need help from employer - my line manager and apprenticeship team at UBS are always willing to help where they can.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive a lot of help from my tutors and apprenticeship mentor at the University. They are constantly checking in and can provide 1-2-1 sessions if required.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I am always applying things I learn in lectures to my work. The overlap between the two has helped me an numerous occasions to understand the work I am doing for my employer and sometimes a head start on what I am learning with the University.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I was recently involved in a 5-a-side tournament organised by apprentices that was really enjoyable and a good way to connect with other apprentices. Also, the bank has an apprentice network that is ran by apprentices and provides opportunities to network both with other apprentices and more experienced colleagues,

Yes
Why?
I think UBS is a good place to work with an amazing family-like culture
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
Learn as much as you can about the business and what you can gather from the public domain as this really helps when discussing things such as recent events in interviews.
