Currently, I am being involved in project work to improve performance within the business. This includes creating digital checklists for internal assessments of non-conformances and standard procedure/ compliance in the factory.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am glad to be learning new skills and developing my knowledge, accepting new opportunities and challenges to develop personally and professionally. However, this has only happened recently, and I was not included in many tasks and projects to begin with, and had to figure a lot out myself.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed new skills when working with new software through training, tutorials and practice. I have also developed better knowledge of the manufacturing industry, as well as better communication skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

To begin with, there was little structure as, although there were plans for me to shadow people within the business, I was often left asking what tasks I could do and not included in these until recently (around 3 or 4 months into my programme).
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a considerable amount of support from my employer now as my new manager supports me in my objectives, with weekly meetings to review my progress and opportunities to be involved in new projects.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I am receiving a good amount of support from my training provider.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think it has allowed me to perform better as I have began to consider how I should shape my behaviour to become a potentially effective manager with good qualities such as good time management.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, I have a quarterly connect with other apprentices within my company which is useful as it allows us to share our individual experiences and advise each other.
