Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My job role is supporting and educating children with SEN needs where their learning needs to be adapted and the support they are provided meets their own individual and diverse needs in order for them to thrive.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I love my programe as I am able to learn on the job by attending placement each day as it allows for my own knowledge and understanding to be developed due to everyday at work being different.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt how to deal with challenging behaviour presented by the children within my care through observations of other members of staff and offering support when this occurs. I have also learnt how to meet the individual needs of each child within my class.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is structured really well as I attend placement during term time but also during half terms focus upon my own learning and using what I see on a daily basis at work to support me during writing my coursework.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive lots of support from my employer on things based around my own health and if I am coping with everything at my workplace.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive lots of support such as being given action plans to help me stay on top of my coursework and what needs to be done each day to ensure that this happens.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel that to some extent my qualification helps me perform better as I have more of an understanding of what to look out for and what children can present if they are being subjected to harm and abuse through the coursework that I have completed.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are no extra-curricular activities at my school that I could get involved in.
