Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is a rotational one which means that I changed teams within my division rouhgly every 4-6 months. This means that my days vary depending on which rotation I am on. In all my roles I am a fully fledged member of the team doing and completing the tasks that the team ususally does.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The programme is very much enjoyable and I am having a valuable and insightful experience on it. I have been able to learn lots and develop skills that I wouldn't have been able to develop otherwise. I think this has made me a better all round indavidual and more employable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes I've learnt lots of new skills and developed some I had orginally thanks to the fact I have been rotationg around different teams and learnt from the members within the different teams I have rotated in. I have vastly improved things like my PowerPoint, Excel and general presentation skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I beleive it is structured well and organised well. I have strucutre and I am able to plan my work load and profesional qualification learning well ahead and make sure I am able to stay on top of both. This is good becuase I can plan my weeks and ensure I don't get overwhelmed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I recieve enough support that I need - I am able to be self sufficient and so far have not needed any help or support or guidance from my employer but I am grateful that I know that they will offer it if I need any. Overall they have been good and offered the right amount.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I recieve enough and I'm grateful for it. I have monthly work shops where I am taught the content and I am assigned a personal tutor which is very useful in terms of having someone and a contact to ask specific questions to. This is useful and they have said we can meet any time.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It is useful to learn more about the theory that surrounds my role such as theories around organisational culture and strategy. This is useful as I can learn more about the psychology and science behind the organisation I worl for. This allows me to know more when performing my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there's lots which is always good - we have things like football 5 a side matches. We also have a whole host of employee networks which organise their own social events, speaker events and networking oppurtunities. We have lots of employee networks such as veterans networks or our womens network.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend UBS to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's a great place to work and one in which I feel I am valued for my contributions. We have a good culture and it provides good oppurtunites to progress in your career such as internal mobility or working abroad, these are both things that are encouraged by the organisation.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
Make sure you are up to date with our culutre, bheaviours and key values. The culture at my organisation is very important for all roles so make sure you are up to date with this. It would be important to show how you are a good fit for the culture in the interview.
