Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

We had the opportunity to assist to presentations of Global Markets, Investment Banking and Tech department inside the bank. We alternated speeches by MDs and VPs and networking sessions with Analysts and Associates, and got involved into interactive activities such as a Trading Game or practicing Pitches.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Essential to understand where to develop my career from now on. I never had the opportunity to talk to so many people working in the banking sector, and it was absolutely insightful and exciting to know more about their tasks and routines.

Absolutely. I’ve understood how to prepare a pitch in few minutes, which I’ve never done before, and asking the right questions to the people in a specific division.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Incredibile, we’ve talked to so many people and each one of them pointed out how particular and special Nomura’s culture is. The HR was super available and tried to help you anytime, and also encouraged to do our best.
