Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
So far I've been working on side-of-desk activities, the main tasks being working on bids, completing compulsory online training, completing university assignments and contributing to EY's University Core Consulting Programme.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Really enjoying everything so far and the support both from EY and BPP is phenomenal!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Definitely developed new skills such as working with Excel sheet and also further developed many skills such as data presentation and public speaking.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Everything is very organised and the structure is laid out clearly so all of us degree apprentices know what's going on and what to do. Furthermore, we are very well supported.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support with anything I need whenever I need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The support from BPP is very strong as well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
It's hard to say as I've only just completed my first module and so far there have been a couple topics that are applicable to the workplace but overall I wouldn't say it has been extremely applicable in any regard.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Many social activities, sports teams and networking events are available to all employees. I've recently joined the EY rugby team and also organised a social. The AI & Data team I work in have also had a social and networking day.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend EY to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The support, the friendliness, the welcoming feeling, the headstart to your career, no uni debt, the great salary. EY covers it all from A-Z but more than anything it's the people. Haven't met a single person who isn't friendly yet.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
Be yourself throughout the assessment and if you get to the final stage interview, make sure you prepare and do background research on your interviewer if possible.
