Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am assigned to engagements/projects for a period of time and I will carry out tasks such as taking meeting notes, attending calls and also doing some admin work. As part of the apprenticeship we also have training days and we go out to college to study so that is also a major part.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I find it a pleasant experience as everything we learn during training can be applied to the work we do daily, which I find enjoyable as it helps to build and solidify my understanding of what I was taught.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have become more well versed with company software's which is crucial as it is used daily. Also I have become better with meeting deadlines and managing my workload as I have learnt how fundamental these skills are.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised, we are told in advance if there are training days so we knw how to manage our work around this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Super helpful, all topics that we have studied so far can be applied to what I do daily working with the team
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are many societies that you can join and become a part of, which is great as you get to meet people outside of just your team.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend EY to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They are global company, with a large significance. Everyone is super nice and approachable which is something that stood out to me especially because when you are a new joiner you have lots of questions and it's nice knowing everyone in the team, no matter what rank is happy to help.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
Prior to interviews/assessments you may be given an e-mail of somethings you could read up on - definitely make use of that and have a look through as it can come in handy. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions!
