My role is within the Consulting Service Delivery business area at EY Newcastle with my day to day role being of an analyst on a client engagement which involves completing case work to achieve and meet the clients expectations
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is very enjoyable yet challenging. It is tailored so that we gain the best of both worlds and learn on how we can make in impact from the theory at University and apply it to improve business operations at EY

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of skills and as part of the apprenticeship programme, we are completing a chartered manager qualification which involves ensuring we meet different learning standards. This means that we have to prove that we have met all the skills required to qualify as a manager

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure is clear and it has been tried and tested for many years. This means we know what to expect and the nature of the programme allows us to get the best of both worlds
How much support do you receive from your employer?

EY are a very supportive organisation and are fully involved in the apprenticeship. There’s many support mechanisms in place that allows us to get the help that we need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Northumbria university are very helpful and provides us with a workplace coach to guide and help us meet the learning outcomes for the chartered manager qualification
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The learning side at University is very closely linked with the workplace with our learning being directly related to the impact on different areas at work and how we could improve. This allows us to apply our learning directly to improve our impact positively on the business
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Just go for it! Apply for the apprenticeship and try your best. It is an excellent opportunity to get a degree whilst working at a big 4 firm!
