Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Being in charge of handling the collection, storage, and analysis of the data, I ensure the accuracy, security, and availability of our data as  I work with a team of other  data analysts. On an everyday basis, I work with data analysts to develop programmes for gathering and analysing data. I enjoy my work because I get to use my analytical skills in making better decisions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Each and every day I enjoy doing my coursework. I have engaged and learned a lot, and  have the confidence that the skills I have picked up will help me in my future employment. The carefully thought-out curriculum covers a wide range of topics, which helps me improve my day-to-day skills and succeed in my career.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have acquired more skills to develop as  I now understand how to analyse data using variety of tools and techniques in order to get conclusions from the data. I am trained at using statistics to create interesting narratives that will assist stakeholders understand the significance of my findings. I have also enhanced my  problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills since  these skills have been a daily requirement.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is organised and structured in a way that the course materials cover everything from the fundamentals of data collection and storage to more advanced topics like data mining and machine learning in order to provide students a full understanding of data management. The programme as well offers a variety of opportunities for experiential learning .
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I obtain assistance from my employer occasionally since they provide me with the resources needed to perform my tasks with  ease, including training and access to data analysis software. They send data analysis and data visualisation training sessions as well. Additionally, we get to work with the best professionals in the field, which simplifies things for us.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They provide me with access to  number of resources which include lessons, mentors, and online discussion boards. They also offer access to online forums where I  post inquiries and seek advice from other students. My training provider selected a data specialist with industry experience as my mentor to aid me in my working.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Thanks to the certification I obtained from my training provider, I can now complete my task with greater effectiveness and also I  possess a strong foundation in data management fundamentals. As a result, I now have a better understanding of the numerous aspects of data management, including data collection, storage, analysis, and visualisation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many opportunities to interact with other coworkers and make friends outside of the workplace. We frequently host social events like potlucks, happy hours, and team-building exercises. Employee resource groups (ERGs) for specific interests like sports, fitness, or voluntary work are also  provided by the organization. These teams could take part in corporate leagues or rivalry matches.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sky?
Be concerned to explore the company's  apprenticeship programme before submitting an application. You will gain a better understanding of the company's requirements and how to prepare for the application process. Interviewing is believed to be difficult but the most effective strategy to get ready is to practise  your interview techniques.
