Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Interned on Business Tax within Tax Consulting business line. Trained on a wide range of areas within Tax Consulting, including FTSE, private, foreign-owned firms, Private Client Services, transfer pricing, intangibles and M&A. Prepared the summary of the transfer pricing agreements. Researched recent tax regulations. Completed ad-hoc tasks.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes. I was involved in a lot of projects working with companies listed on FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 and as well as big multinational companies.

I was assigned a career buddy to support me all the time during the internship and I also received support from my line managers, which ensured that I always had someone to turn to whenever I had questions during the internship.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone was friendly to us and I could feel the inclusive culture within the firm. I had opportunities to network with people from all levels, including the director, which really helped me gain an insight into my role in the firm.
