Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
It is enjoyable working on the cars and in the engineering industry. I never know what I will be doing at work a few weeks beforehand which is frustraiting, and it feels like there is no plan for me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Always get the opportunity to learn new skills working on cars, and having placements in different departments.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
There seems to be no/very little plan for me and I never know what I will be doing.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
Very little. Again, no plan unless I pester my managers, and feel like a burden.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I have had great support from my training provider. They help whenever I need it, and have been supportive throughout.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
I do not feel as though my qualification is too beneficial within my role. Electronics is the most beneficial when it comes to the electric vehicles, as well as general things such as health and safety related parts of the course. The practical elements of the course have not been beneficial in my job role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are often social events for apprentices, as well as football after work and annual apprentice team building events.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Good money.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
The best way to get things done is to pester the relevant people and it will get sorted. Be proactive as managers like when you act on your own initiative.
