Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role consists of a variety of different tasks. I am on a rotation working and completing placements in various different departments. My home department is within the quality function and my day to day role consists of completing data analysis, reporting and quality steering tasks to help the department.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have really enjoyed my programme. I am currently in my third year of the programme and have one final year to complete. Currently, I have been exposed to lots of different parts of Rolls Royce Motor Cars and look forward to focusing on my final job role this year.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed and improved lots of my skills. Most of the skills are surrounding my knowledge of data analysis and reporting software. This include systems and software such as Tablaeu, PowerBi and Excel. I have also improved soft skills such as my communication, confidence and presenting skills in meetings.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
All apprentices are controlled under one department, this ensures that we are well organised and there is constant communication to keep us up to date with the latest events and news. Through the four years of my apprenticeship I have had a structured plan to give me experience in lots of areas.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, have provided me with lots of support, advice and help during my apprenticeship programme. The company pushes heavily the importance of future talent and everyone within the company is keen to help me develop and grow, with my final aim to be integrated in a department.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
My training provider, University of Chichester, provide me with lots of support, advice and help during my apprenticeship programme. The programme is structured in a way that I complete 6 modules a year, all with the intention of improving my business acumen and skills in the workplace, focusing on RRMC.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My qualification, a bachelors degree in Business Management, is well structured to help me improve and develop. The modules are all focused on areas of the business. However, I do feel that not all modules are as useful as others. It would be nice to have the option to select some of my own modules rather than it be fixed.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
The apprentices within Rolls Royce Motor Cars arrange multiple outside of work events. We often plan outside of work socials for drinks and various other activities. This brings all the apprentice community together and is always really enjoyable going out with everyone and learning what they are currently doing outside of work.
