from day to day I provide support to my team in building tech trollies for the requests from the production line, this includes modifying tooling trollies and building new ones to spec. these are to hold jigs for the line amongst other departments. i also raise purchase quotes with suppliers for materials to build these with
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
i enjoy the program a lot, this have provided me with many different opportunities which has allowed networking with other apprentices and this has lead to other events happening outside of work for social gatherings and other events with the other apprentices. this creates a really good experience both in and out of work

5/5
i have developed many different skills through my day to day role , some of these include using a variet of power tolls to perform tasks that include cutting surface board to create table tops and drills to make holes for counter sunk screws for different methods of fastening features to the trollies

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
to start off, the beginning of the program was a little unorganized due to so much learning content that needed to be taught to many different groups and this hadn't been prepared. this meant that some days we had no lessons and had self study days due to no workshops or classes being available
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
throughout the course, we have received lots support from our employer, this has been both on the work side and also the college side of the apprenticeship, support has been from help with college work and also help with planning workplace placements in the factory and what paperwork needs to be completed from this.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
we have received some support from the college towards our provider. this mainly consists of verbal feedback on hand in which lacks any kind of form and it is very generic. Sometimes we get written feedback on work but this is just acknowledgement that the work has been handed in rather than constructive feedback.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
the training provider has helped to perform better at work through the use of hard skills, this is from having practiced using many different machines and power tools which is equipment that is very similar to what i use in work. this has helped me improve the quality of work i'm producing
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
at work there are various extra activities that we have been involved in, one was an all apprentice sports day where we split into teams and competed against each other, we also have a project where we assist a local school building electric go karts for a local racing competition
