My role is to maintain S and T equipment on the railway, fault find when issues arise ensuring everyone gets home safe every day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far, I am really enjoying the apprenticeship.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills, coming from a background with 0 experience on the railway, I have started from scratch. I have also developed existing skills in terms of communicating and working in new environments with different people all the time.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure is okay. But there is plenty of room for improvement. Communication from training providers and within the company is poor. But there are parts of the scheme that are really well organised such as the courses you are put on.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive an adequate amount of support from the employer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training courses have been successful so far and the support on some classes have been really good - all depends on the provider.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
