Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
What a day would look like is we start by tapping in and then we sign into our phones and wait to get a task once we get a task we go to the task and wait until we get break or someone comes relieves us and then we for our task and once that’s all done we tap out.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the program a lot I have met a lot more new people then I would usually, I have learnt new skills and developed new skills that I wouldn’t have otherwise. Also working in this environment at a young gives you experience. Also trying new things meeting new people it’s a new thing everyday.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The skills I have learnt during this apprenticeship are my public speaking skills, before the apprenticeship I wasn’t a very talkative person but since this apprenticeship is mostly about the people i have had to push myself. Also I’ve developed my confidence skills I can talk in front of people alot more comfortably.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The program is very well organised because we have 2 study days a month where we get offlined and we have to go in for one of the day to study and the other we study from. The day we have to come in to the GLA everything is sorted the day before a room and everything is booked and we know what we have to do.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We receive good amount of support from our employer. Things like we get told when our next study days or our workshops are in advance just so we know what have coming up. Also i there is something we need help with e.g. I need a shift change I text my manager and they sort it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
We have received a good amount of support from our training provider, our training provider gives us all the tools you need to excel towards our qualifications we have study days and review where we discuss how far we have come in the apprenticeship and how much work we need to or if we are up to date.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification helps us perform a lot better in our role because when we start compared to normal people joining we have longer training just so we understand exactly what we have to do, also we have workshops all the time which means we learn new things all the time that help us excel in our role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at British airways. Every month there are different things you can get involved in e.g. this month we had the red nose month where we collects charity we set up a stall and raised money for charity and there’s other things you can take part in.
