Data Analyst Review

I am a data analyst apprentice based in a logistics department at MINI Plant. My day starts at 7am and my role generally consists of lots of meetings, creating power BI dashboards, generating reports, completing mandatory training courses, networking and working towards completing modules on my L4 data analytics course.

My program is structured and organized very well. I get 20% off the job learning time to complete online learning. We have a workshop once a month to consolidate the learning we have done on the modules. We also have masterclasses provided through Corndel to learn more about the topics we are learning.

I receive a good amount of support from my employer, my placement manager sets up one to one meetings regularly to review progress and offer any help I may need. My apprentice manager also sets up one to ones about once a month where we review overall progress and look at progress on the L4 program.

The level of support from the training provider has been moderate. It was lacking in the beginning but now has improved considerably and there are regular one to one review meetings set up to go over and mark any work I have submitted and provide feedback for my work which is helpful.

My qualification definitely helps me within my everyday role because all of the topics and modules that we are covering on the L4 course is highly applicable to my daily tasks. Modules such as creating power BI dashboards, using SQL and learning about different types of databases have been particularly useful.

I would recommend because it is a good place to work, the associates are all really nice and the working atmosphere is great. There are lots of working opportunities that you would not get elsewhere and the qualification through the training provider is well ran. There is also a good social side as each year there is a big group of apprentices. There is also a good salary.
