Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Working as a project manager apprentice. Coordinating teams. Dealing with risk and issues and planning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the programme and project placement a lot. I did think the learning side could be a bit more frequent rather than once every month.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Communication and networking skills have improved. As well as questioning and analysing why.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The project placement and learning side are organised very well. We have rotations so can experience different projects.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support from my employer. This is probably the strongest area.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Support is great during the workshops and calls are good but it is heavily compliance based and could do with more expectation setting.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
To some extent. I think it is heavily based on independent learning so would be good to get slightly more support in this area.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes. From bucket collecting to planning BAS Got Talent to raise funds for comic relief.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend British Airways to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Lots of opportunities, lots of exposure to a high level view of the business as I am working in the central transformation team.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
Fully research your chosen course and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
