I am an apprentice care assistant for Paragon Skills. My job involves basically doing the same thing as other carers. What I suppose is different to my job than a regular carer is that I have to complete a work shadow record and my coursework. I enjoy my job.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my apprenticeship program because they set the work on the bud app and this is very easy to access and very easy to submit.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

During my time working at Woodcroft for coverage care services, I have learnt better social skills because half of being a carer involves being able to talk to people and being good at socialising.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well organised and I would say that the structure is perfectly fine, I cannot really think of any faults.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer gives me enough support by giving me certain days where I am allowed to come into work to just solely do my coursework.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do receive enough support from my training provider because whenever I am unsure about something all I have to do is ask.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like my training does help me because it helps me to stay on track and follow all the guidelines to make sure that I am doing my job properly.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At Woodcroft, they have a singing activities event that happens every other Thursday which you are allowed to go and join in and help with and make sure that the residents have a good time.

I would recommend Paragon Skills to a friend because I feel that they are professional and efficient and that you can access your coursework easily and submit it easily and they are always willing to help if you are unsure on anything.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Paragon Skills?
I would say to always make sure to complete your work to the best of your ability and hand it in on time, but not to be worried because if you struggle with anything they always help you.
