Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Daily scum/stand ups with the team where you say what you are working on today and what was completed the day before. Weekly meetings where tasks are allocated/updates on tasks are given. Meeting with clients or other developers to produce the desired output.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very surprising because there were far more roles available than I thought existed which was great to me as it means that you can work in many different fields within technology and switch when you wish to. The firm has a lot of room for mobility which is something that is extremely attractive to me.

I have learnt how to use various different programming tools that I hadn't used before such as spark, snowflake, powerBI, java with spring, the list goes on!

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The people within the company are amazing, they are all super friendly and willing to help you out whenever they get the chance to. Everyone does their best to try and make you feel included in the team from the moment you start working.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Morgan Stanley
Apply early and if you can, apply to their spring insights or internships if you really want to work within the firm. They tend to hire a lot of people who started off as interns as they have already had the chance to work with them before fully hiring them.
