Data Analytics Summer Vacation Student Review

Was given a project at the beginning to get started on which became the project I spent the majority of my time on. However, my manager was able to give me different work in order for me to get the most exposure out of the internship. Had a bi weekly meeting with my manager and frequent presentations by the internship organisers about Deloitte's working life

Great. The organisers did a great job of providing us with insight into Deloitte as a company. they organised networking events with other internship students and also with current employees such as partners. This was invaluable in getting information that would be relevant to further career progression. We also all interviewed for a full time role after the internship as a conversion interview.

Yes definitely. Learnt hard skills such as Python for data analysis and this was what my project was based on. This included using Python to create machine learning algorithms and for data analysis/visualisation. I also improved on communication/time management skills. I also completed a full presentation at the end of my internship which was a great way to showcase my work

Very good. It is a highly professional environment with important work but everyone is valued equally and you really feel that when you join. There were lots of coffee breaks and social evenings for people to get to know each other. And they even organised a drinks night in person after the internship had ended which was great to get to know everyone outside of the workplace.

Really enjoyed my summer internship. Was a great was to improve on my skills and meet lots of new lovely people. The culture was very welcoming and they made sure to give you appropriate responsibility straight away this means you were never bored. I would definitely work there again, especially with all the diverse range of roles available.
