Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
File review, litigation, drafting documents to court, issuing claims, liaising between clients, colleagues and supervisors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy learning and feel as though I am becoming an asset to the team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Drafting skills massively improved. Legal language hugely improved.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I feel as though BPP could encourage and help line managers understand more about the apprenticeship and study side of the role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
It can be difficult in the beginning, but I now feel more settled in my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I feel as though exam feedback could be a lot more thorough and to go through exam questions would be very beneficial as a lot of people in my cohort struggle with the actual structure of answering an exam question rather than the content.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It helps me apply the law we follow to my job and understand why we have to do certain things and take certain protocols.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
CSR groups, Social gatherings once a month, volunteering to do a charity event with DWF.

Yes

A very good place to start a career. It has lots of different work streams and departments you can branch off into to find your own area of expertise.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DWF?
Stay on top of your Uni work. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Everyone is willing to help and it is the best way to learn.
