Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role involves working in the bank office as an onboarding specialist. I work with the front office to open client accounts in Wealth Management. I am now working in the taxation team which focuses on US tax forms and yearly reporting.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme. At times, it is a lot to manage with external exams, university work and a 9-5 job, but the experience and qualifications are definitely worth it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt new processes that I was originally familiar with. I have also developed a better/strong understanding of banking regulations.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My managers and apprenticeship lead have always been very supportive of me, and helped with any struggles I have faced with managing workload, exams etc.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Our training provider consists of weekly lectures teaching us content for our exams and external banking exams with CISI. We also have a mentor who supports and guides us through our programme. I would say it would be beneficial to have more exposure to exam questions that are more similar to the CISI exams to prevent struggle in the sittings.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The content we learn fits in well with our job roles.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Volunteering, social events.
