Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My day-to-day role includes helping to manage book clients who sit under our global family office desk. this includes transactional as well as admin based tasks to ensure all regulatory requirements are met, as well as providing the best possible outcome for our clients. The tasks however, can vary each day depending on the environment or client request.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I think the programme is highly self-rewarding as you can feel that the work you are doing is making an impact for those around you and the clients that you serve. It has also taught me so much more than a textbook could do as once you are doing the role everyday, you pick up skills much faster.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt so many new skills so far on the programme. These include time-management, collaboration, written communication skills as these are needed for emails between colleagues and to clients. The day-to-day role has acted as a catalyst to these developments as I need to practice them every single day.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I feel the programme is well structured between the job role, the university work and the apprenticeship requirements. There is a clear set day for the university work which makes it easier to differentiate days and work loads. There is also a calendar which is easy to read and allows me to set time for specific deadlines.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive good support from my employer and my team at my employer. They are very understanding of my commitments to the apprenticeship and always allow me to focus extra time on the studies and portfolio work. They also always will help me in my job role if I am ever stuck.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive good help from Exeter in regards to receiving qualifications. The weekly lectures are well recorded so it is easy to re-watch these. They also provide textbooks for us to revise and learn new content from which are extremely useful when it comes to preparing for any final exam.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The two correlate very well and I often see what I am learning from Exeter in what I am doing in my role at my employer. They both help me to accelerate my knowledge of the industry and give me specialised knowledge and skills that I would not get anywhere else.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
My employer offer many activities such as network events and social activities that are well organised to ensure all people attending are comfortable and welcomed. I feel that these events are very good for meeting new people across the firm and helping to expand my professional network along the way.
