Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
day to day i am either completing work on excel or having meetings about how to execute the work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
there is a lot of stress however it is reasonably enjoyable as your work and study split is good.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, you learn how to use the inhouse softwares for audits as well as becoming very sufficient at excel. These are the two main attributes day to day you get to use.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Overall structure is very good however it seems that the learning provider and company do not speak to eachother at all. therefore it feels as though apprentice wide announcements are hard to get across.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
there isnt much physical support however one thing they can provide is time. They allow you extra stufy days to sit and learn either alone or with the learning provider.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Training provider is good, they provide reasonable support however again the communication could be a lot better to reduce stress and uncertainty between the apprentices regarding deadlines/ work that needs to be completed
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
This is a hard question to answer currently as i think it is too soon to tell. there is 100% an overlap between the theory and the practical but i dont think i have seen the full extent of this yet.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
there are loads! from socials to sports there is everything you would want. Potentially could be more push for extra curricular activities as it isnt really promoted at all. however is still popular

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Generally good place to work. pay for an 18 year old is great with good prospects and a clear pathway up the ranks.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
Be very aware of what you are walking into. try to gain communication to an apprentice who joined the year before and sit them down and talk to them.
