Finance Support Administrator Review

Each day was very varied with multiple tasks to be completed as well as meetings to attend and projects to work on. Each team has deadlines to work towards at the end of the month such as producing the final bank reconciliation and reconciling different general ledger accounts.

I was responsible for ensuring all the work I undertook was accurate and to a high standard and was also responsible for producing graphs for meetings and sometimes leading the meetings in which these graphs were presented. I was treated just like any other member of the team and never felt that I was just an intern as the work I was producing was seen as being just as valuable as the work of any one else.

Throughout my placement, I learnt how to use a variety of different systems including SAP and MAM as well as enhancing my excel knowledge. I also gained confidence through being given opportunities to lead meetings as develop my own methods in order to complete projects.

The level of support was the perfect level. You always knew that everyone would be willing to help you if you needed it but also you were trusted to work on your own and did not always have someone looking over your shoulder. Especially considering that I did most of my placement from home, I had regular contact with my managers to check in and make sure that I was on the right track.

Everyone at Volvo Group was so welcoming and friendly. There is a real sense of family there and everyone looks out for each other to make sure that you are ok.

I absolutely loved my time with Volvo! I learnt so much and enjoyed the wide variety of work that I got to undertake. All the people were so friendly and helpful and really made me feel welcome and a valuable part of the team.
