day to day i complete the testing of controls, set up meetings and have client calls.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it now i have moved to a better department, before the hours were long and the work was more difficult. now i have a proper team environment and everyone is helpful. The one bad thing is the exams you only get 2 chances and there strict with that even if you were so close

I get alot of support from my current department but ive had managers that have taken weeks to reply to me before and not want to get to know me
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

BPP was an awful college experience. We were treated like children, things don't get taught its just read from a book, the teachers were rude if we had questions and the step ladders are so innacurate and a waste of time. the books also had wrong answers in them
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Not at all really, its very different to what i do day to day. the only way in which it has helped me is understanding certain things but most of the stuff i have learnt on the job
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, i help to plan the socials for my department and its really fun and a good way of networking.

Yes
Why?
I think it is a good company to work for as most of the people are friendly and understanding of a new apprentice and it does set you up for life. the work is hard at first but you will get used to it and it becomes very normal and easy.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
make sure you are willing to learn because there's learning happening for every hour of work. make sur you network and make friends at all levels. and never be scared to ask to move departments if you've had a bad experience in your own as itll make your 5 years enjoyable
