Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am the General manager of a busy airport restaurant, my role includes recruiting, reviewing and developing staff. I am actively involved in the structure modelling for the department, forecast revenue for the year and for each period. I control overall spending and choose products and dishes to be listed. Part of my job is also to be actively involved in operational service and create relation with the clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme very much for the reason that there is a mix between new things to learn and things that I already know. Especially for the latter, I am pleased to see that I can refine my knowledge, give them a sort of tidiness and reinforced what is already there

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I developed new skills such as interpersonal skills, I have a greater understanding of the financial aspect and to balance better muly work load that divides among office tasks, restaurant operations and meeting in the head office. Also, forecasting both for products and financial expectations in a such as different environment like an airport

How well organised/structured is your programme?

In the first part of it, It seems fairly organised, we follow a schedule of contents, have a lesson, do researches and finalise it with a task completion.
The second part of it less so as our assessor went on maternity leave and the replacement arrived after while making little contact

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Full support from my employer. Whenever I needed time off to catch with the programme I have been always given. In the recent months when I asked the LD department to make contact with the provider they always come back with an answer. Furthermore they ensure that my apprenticeship time is covered during my working hours
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Up to the original assessor was still in the business, a lot. She was often available to do a catch up, meeting with my manager and supporting towards a task to be completed. Unfortunately I cannot say it went the same way once she left for the maternity leave. My employer is now chasing for me to progress
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am confident that the subject studied are already providing me with a stronger core of knowledge that I am able to deliver on a day to day basis. I can see different prospective for each subject. Completing the programme will bring in more for me, for my knowledge and for my career development.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not sure if there aare, however, it is very hard for me to get involved due to level of tasks I already need to cover both on working life and personal life.
