Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

The role involves working as part of the MS IBD team to pitch for and execute M&A and capital markets transactions for clients across EMEA.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, very much so; the team I joined was very busy and it was made clear from the very first day that I were to be treated as a full team member (and expected to contribute accordingly).

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

My placement was certainly intense, but I personally found it enjoyable; it made sure I got an accurate depiction of what an investment banking job entails, including both the benefits and drawbacks.
