Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Assisting solicitors with their workload - drafting letters, emails and legal documents to clients or the opposition.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have enjoyed my apprenticeship so far and would recommend it to other aspiring solicitors.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Drafting, communication, organisation, legal knowledge and commercial awareness

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I have one day a week as my non-working day to attend lectures and complete university work/coursework which is really helpful. BPP communication is generally regular but could be improved for the SQE stages of the course.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There is plenty of support from the Apprenticeship Manager and also from supervisors I have had in the various teams I have been in.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I received a good amount of support during the earlier years of my apprenticeship but in the final term (SQE stage) we were left to our own devices and response times deteriorated, so this could be improved.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The theory provided by BPP and the practical experience provided by my employer go hand in hand and really work well together.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Pilates, team socials, MTSG, DWF Link
