To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my approach. It helps me to see hospitality in wider aspects than just within my own company and make me realised not everything what we do is the same for all hotels. I like having support from my trainer and it helped me connect with other learners.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
During my apprenticeship I learned lot of new skills and also developed skills which I achieved on my previous apprenticeship. The biggest change was in level of my confidence. Apprenticeship helped me to have a bigger level of confidence and help me with a critical thinking and also with problem solving.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I feel like programme is well organised and each topic connects to another one so if I do it according the website I learn everything step by step. Some parts of programme are more interesting than another one which motivates me to go through not so interesting but important chapters to get to more interesting.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I would say the support I receive is half and half. I get paid time to join webinars and also to travel to skills days. However when it comes to time when I should do apprenticeship at work it is non existent. There is never time to focus on course.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My lifetime trainer is amazing. He is always just on the other site of line or Web chat if I need him. He encourages me to be with touch with him and if I need any help he is always there to answer all my question and support me during apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I started apprenticeship on a different work position and Apprenticeship helped me to developed deeper knowledge of management and helped me understand why I naturally sometimes follow some management approaches and wider my horizons in a different style and gave me ideas what else I could potentially try at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There is not as many extra curricular activities as I wish there would be. We have every year a Christmas party where we get together as all team. Recently we started having a management days where we can learn new skills and developing new knowledge. I wish there would be more social activities across the company.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Whitbread plc to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Whitbread is open minded business who is diverse and give a chance to anyone who is ready to work hard. There is real progress even when person starts on a lower position and many people in the company are happy to help learn and grown within the businesses. There is lot of opportunities.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread plc?
Hospitality isn't easy and it can get really stressful. Person applying should be aware that hotel is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, which means working weekend. Person should be ready to be part of the team, pull weight in, work hard and constantly learn new stuff.
