Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Placed in Painted Body HR Dept. as the HRM intern, allowing me to be involved in disciplinaries, grievances, EU settlement scheme, absence management, KPI management, Quality and Competency Matrices, intern onboarding, recruiting and various other HR activities. I was also given the opportunity to work within the Swindon team two days a week, developing cross plant communication and supporting the smaller team there. I was assisting the development of standardised policies and procedures between both sites and facilitating the ongoing establishment of the One HR community that BMW Group have encouraged.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Loads of responsibility which I loved having it enabled me to push my limits and advance my professionalism within a working environment.
Whole projects where I lead in front of those in higher positions than myself, although there was loads of responsibility it wasn’t too much and my manager was there to help me through it all.

I enjoyed my placement throughout the whole year, it was a unique year as it was during covid. This meant working from home and social events were majorly effected but it was still an amazing year.
