Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
Analysing data and using it to create different insights, or extract information. Basic administration tasks, downloading documents, drag and drop type activities. Transferring documents from one folder to another.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
I do not enjoy it

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
Some excel skills and some organisation skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
During induction it seemed organised to an extent and as weeks went by it honestly seemed very poorly structured and organised. Often struggled to find meaningful work to do, and often have to ask for work which is weird when you are joining a new organisation.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
A lot of support available through, buddies and performance managers,
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Good level of support if you need it, can ask questions at any time
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Currently the two have nothing to do with each other. My day to day role largely involves nothing I'm learning about, perhaps maybe the occasional use of Excel.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
Teams try to arrange socials at key moments throughout the year, e.g. drinks, mini golf etc. This is usually only arounf christmas and maybe a few other times in a year. I've heard of football and cricket, however I heard this through a colleague, there isn't much of a push to get information on sports/ events to apprentices.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
No
Why?
I would recommend a friend to pursue a shorter course, with better perks at a company with a better work culture.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
Look at the length of the course, apply to other companies to explore your options and be prepared to be in a role that hasn't got much to do with what you want to do- at least for the first couple of months.
