Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Concerned with the settlement and reconciliation of cash flows on Equity Swaps, Options, Variance and Volatility Swaps. The settlements teams are responsible for monitoring the pre and post settlement of cash flows to ensure timely settlement and resolution of discrepancies. We have a global presence with settlements team based in Glasgow, Baltimore, Mumbai, Tokyo, Milan and Paris.

Enhanced the skill of remaining in a professional manner while following instructions from senior management. Developed personal drive and commitment qualities as a result from working independently. Whilst improving communication skills through discussions with colleague from across the globe.

The support was beyond all expectations, every employee at the firm is extremely willing to help and if they can't they will pass you onto someone who can. Giving back in build into their culture.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is one of the main attractions to Morgan Stanley, and it is clear why. It is an extremely rewarding and enjoyable place to work, full of committed employees working hard to achieve personal and company goals. The culture is extremely diverse and everyone is made to feel very welcome.

My time at Morgan Stanley has gone above and beyond all expectations. I could not have imagined starting my first professional employment job and enjoying it as much as I have. The friendly, committed and caring employees are what makes Morgan Stanley so unique and an amazing place to work.
