Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working in audit, I normally set up calls with the client to go over any queries i have regarding the audit section i work on. I will speak to my managers/seniors to determine audit approach and any updates on the work plan. However, each client and day is unique.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the practical experience i am getting however, there are times where i think how different my life would have been if i went to university.
Its also hard to manage work, social life and studies but the qualification and experience i have gained so far is invaluable.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to communicate well with clients/audit teams. I have learnt to build rapports and have gained a lot of audit knowledge not only at college but in terms of practical experience.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Its very well organised, we are aware of the exam structure and internal progression opportunities as soon as we join. Exams are also spread fairly throughout the year.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We have performance managers and opportunities to speak to seniors about any concerns should we have any. I also have buddies who i can contact at a first instance.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is really approachable and contacts us before every exam. We have forums and the teacher's email address so there is an opportunity to ask questions outside of classes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It provides knowledge that backs up my practical experience. Also, it helps with understanding audit procedures and approaches, i.e makes work at lot easier.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many socials with all grades within the firm. This varies from formal events to casual activities. We also have training days where the office comes together and there is an opportunity to network.

I believe its a good place to gain practical experience in the industry as well as gain a qualification.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
Make sure you show your personality/work ethic as that places more significance over exam results etc
