To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the programme very much. I receive a lot of support and I learn something new every day. I feel this is what I want to do, and I am glad for this apprenticeship opportunity, because it means that I can learn while working, and I can progress in a career that I like.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Microsoft Azure cloud, AWS cloud, Python programming language, Terraform, Yaml, HTML and CSS, JavaScript & jQuery, Docker, Ansible, Flask, Postman. Plus I learned how to renew SSLs on Globalsign, and base64 encoding.
I also learned to work with GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines and Jenkins, pushing changes to GitHub repositories and watch plans.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is well organised/structured. I get 20% off work to enable me to study for my apprenticeship, and I have a monthly workshop call with the tutors and the other apprentices, followed by a group call that prepares us for the monthly project exercise. Plus the course is well organised for entry level people.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive all the support I need from my employer and every single member of my team. Since day 1 I felt like I could ask questions to anyone in the team, from entry level people to team leads and the line manager. I also don't feel bad to take time off if needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I find my one to one calls with my trainers very helpful for me to progress with the course. I can book a convenient time slot for me, and they are always available for help, so that I can submit my project exercise by its deadline and progress with the course.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
What I learn during my course is relevant to the work I do on a daily basis, and it helps me being more confident at work. The project exercises are a great way for me to push my knowledge and learn new things every months, so that I can apply them to my daily work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I enjoy the socials after work whenever they happen, they allow me to get to know my co workers better, and network with others. I wouldn't mind joining any other extra curricular activities if I had the chance, as I like socialising with my co workers outside the working environment.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
Yes
Why?
KPMG are a brilliant company to work for. Entry level workers like myself have all the support they need from the team, and it is a great working environment overall, full of diversity. To this day, I didn't have any "no day" at KPMG, and I love my job!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
Don't be scared of not knowing things and asking questions, even if you think they're stupid! Everyone is supportive, and they genuinely want you to learn and progress, so you can be an asset to the firm, and progress in a career that you really like. It is a great company to work for.
