Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Attending meetings, working in Excel doing monthly reports on different entities, presentations, as well as professional development sessions from the HR talent team.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Lot of responsibility given, much more than anticipated. I was in charge of completing the month-end journals/ reports of different entities the company has, as well as attend meetings and follow up on different actions.

Improved my communication, confidence, presentation, Excel, as well as problem solving skills. I’ve also managed to improve my professional network which for me, was a very important aspect of the internship.

Lot of support and guidance given both my mentors, people whom I was working in the teams, manager as well as the amazing HE Talent team where we had two/three meetings every week.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I absolutely loved this internship! Definitely one of the most productive and enjoyable summers I’ve ever had. I managed to learn so much about the sector whilst meeting and networking with a lot of fantastic professionals across the industry.
