Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role involves looking at client analysis and optimization. My role involves talking to internal teams as well as clients vie email, calls, and in person meetings. It also involves using internal systems such as excel. The role is very broad and varies day to day depending on client activity and the level of project based work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I am enjoying the learning side of the programme . It can be difficult to balance study and my university work at times, but my team are very supportive.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have substantially improved my knowledge of financial markets. I have learned how to network internally and with clients. I have also learned how to use outlook, excel, PowerPoint, as well as other transferable skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
The organization and structure of the programme needs improvement as it is still very new. There have been some issues along the way, but UBS and Exeter have been very open to feedback and are proactively looking for solutions to improve our experience.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I feel supported by UBS.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
My Exeter lecturers are very supportive. They always answer my questions regarding the material and are very helpful. Overall however the programme has some organizational/structural issues, which can make it challenging.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Certain aspects of the programme are extremely useful in my role as they directly relate to my area of work. I have learned a great deal about financial markets through my degree programme. However, the sheer volume of work to complete can be difficult to manage alongside my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are many volunteering and extra curricular activities to get involved with.
