Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I support the Logistics arm of the business with their employee relations work and problems. trying to be proactive and solve issues swiftly I also investigate matters from investigation through to disciplinary and appeal, as well as with grievances. i provide feedback and insight to the management team and upskill and train managers as part of my role as well.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The programme is intense but I am learning a lot as i progress through the modules. The assessments are quite intense and I prefer the learning and reading to the assessment

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
undertaking the apprenticeship has meant dusting off my mindset and academic learning skills. With some of the core principles and academic theories that underpin the learning I have been able to reference with confidence in senior HR meetings. Learning about change management has given me the confidence to talk about the projects that are ongoing at work and ask to get involved and it has exposed me to more elements of the business that I would not ordinarily get invoveld with like pensions and reward. I now have a better and broader understanding of different functions and the role they play in for the business and in the employee lifecycle.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
There is a detailed learning programme for each week that is extremely detailed. There are tutors and coaches on hand to support if you are unsure as well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Support form my employer is on hand when and if I need it. The managers are helpful in trying to make sure I get some quiet time away from the day job but that is not always practical.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provider is on hand to give as much or as little support as needed. The onus is o the student to reach out to the various tutors as the modules progress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification and training and has supported me to be a more rounded HR professional with a wider scope and remit in my day to day role but more so towards supporting with a progressive move in the future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are various different groups that you can get invoveld within work like professional networks, groups to represent the underrepresented but it is limited in terms of sports team
