Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
i fairly enjoy the programme here as it gives me many opportunities to learn new skills which can be practically put in to use in my day to day life in the paintshop as well as other areas. i think its competitive to other apprenticeships and im glad im here.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
i have learn many new skills whilst being on this apprenticeship. some of these skills are such as lathing, milling, welding, pneumatics, etc. additionally my skills with hand tools have gotten better as i use them every day. all of those listed i had never done before and im now fairly confident in doing them

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
i think that the apprenticeship is fairly well organised. however there have been at times where it hasnt been as much but that is due to the fact we would go through change for the better which cant always be done at an instant. in the end its all for our benefit
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
i receive as much support as i need. all my managers offer and ask regularly which is good to know in case i do need something / support. in the end they want the best for us so it would make sense that if we did have a problem it would be resolved.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
i receive as much support as i need working towards my qualifications. whenever i have a question or a few they will always get answered with a very good explanation to ensure that i understand it fully which means i can then continue working well and progressing with the qualifications
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
i find my qualification, applies a fair amount during my time out in the plant. there will be times where they don't always apply but thats just how the day goes. each day being different helps keep me learning new things so i can perform well when out of my time
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
there are a few extra curricular activities but i dont participate in any of those myself i prefer to do my own thing at home and chill out. i always get an email if there is anything new that comes up so there is always opportunity to take part in something

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
its a good apprenticeship with a competitive wage, helps you build basic skills within engineering and further develops you as the 4 year apprenticeship goes on. also once you qualify the wage is better and seems like you are given more responsibility and incorporated in to the maintenance team daily
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
i would say to make sure you apply early. have a prokect yovue done ready for the interview stage if you get to that part. if engineering is something you have a passion for especially in maintenance then this is definitely a place you should be applying for i think its one of the best
