Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
General maintenance of different types of commercial aeroplanes.
This includes removing different components and fitting replacements.
A multitude of different tests conducted on the aircraft from the flight deck to check their functionality.
Signing off different tasks to state that the aircraft is airworthy and ready to fly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do something that requires skill. I take pride in the job that I have because its a world that is not open to many other people. I know that at the end of the day im not in a office doing the same thing everyday. I enjoy my job because its different and changes everyday.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've formed a personal responsibility and resilience to the work i complete.
I've improved my communication and interpersonal skills.
Ive progressed in working as a team.
ive been able to focus on the quality of my work and have learnt how to problem solve.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
With the new management team, the program has developed into a organised training facility.
I know what i am expected to do and when i am expected to do it.
The people you work with push you to develop and help you remain on task to complete your apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
What ever you need, there is always a member of the apprenticeship team that can help you.
If there is ever a reason for them to not be around then the people you work with on the job are there and are happy to support
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
They aren't the best. The instructors where you do your first year of training are good but the management could do with some improvement to show that they are interested in you passing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It gave me a better understanding of aircraft and their operations. On the job training goes alot further when you have an idea of what you are talking about
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
You can become apart of many development teams and give help to other apprentices around the company by showing them what your area is like.
There are social work events organised by most areas that you will work in.
Organised social activities such as going to play football together can vary in each area but generally the people you work with become your friends so you can gravitate how much you can do with them by the amount of effort you put in yourself.
