Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work within an engineering team helping to solve technical problems, writing code for front and back end systems. I manage my own time, and work alongside people from all over the world daily
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy being immersed in the team, culture and tasks, and seeing what I've made be used by the desk. It can be tough but rewarding too

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Front End Development was completely new to me before starting here. As well as soft skills and communication

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Well laid out pathway and structure. Communication between HCM and uni and apprentices could be improved, as well as removal of some unnecessary constraints imposed by the programme structure
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer supports me immensely, be it by helping explain concepts I dont understand at university work, respecting my time management and helping me manage expectations, or taking my advice and encouraging me to take up opportunities at work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The university provides educational resources and teaching (some better than others). Often find I teach myself
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The study helps me understand and reiterates core concepts which help me better understand what I do at work. In turn, I am able to think more deeply about what it is I am doing and how to solve problems
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Lots of networks within the firm for cultural connections, as well as sports leagues and 'coffee with a colleague'. There is a group dedicated to organising activities and socials for new interns and graduate hires to help you connect with others across the firm.
