Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Training to be an aircraft engineer. Studying modules, completing upk's, & completing practical tasks such as metal working, or hangar tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Although it revolves around my area of interest, it is a very large amount of work for the first year, which can make it stressful. Although all of this is necessary for the a licence I am working towards.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned skills such as filing things down to size, riveting, & other metal working tasks

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship is well organized, & we are told what is expected of us
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We are given support for failed modules etc, & given accommodation.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We are expected to pass modules as early as possible, although we receive support & time to retake modules if we don't pass.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

We are constantly given advice through our training provider on good practices that may make our life easier, & things not to do.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Why?
It is a good opportunity to become an aircraft engineer, without having to worry about training costs. You must be competent however
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
Understand massively that the next few years aren't going to be easy, & you must take sacrifices in your social life outside work if you wish to succeed.
