Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
I am the first point of contact, safe holder and first aid trainer while on site.
I complete weekly and monthly finance tasks
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I am currently working under [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], we had our first 1-1 meeting last month and she clearly outlined what she expects from me from now on, I feel she is the best trainer for me going forward.
I really enjoy the apprenticeship as a whole It has enabled me to further develop my managerial skills.
A lot of the courses go into real detail about how organisations and businesses run effectively and what we as a company need to utilise in order to get the best financial returns.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Working alone means you need to be more organised and aware of timeframes.
My people skills have also developed as I meet so many different characters that you have to adapt to each and every one.
A new skill that I have learnt is being able to delegate tasks to my team, it is important to shift the whole workload from myself so that I can focus on completing the essential tasks.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
Now that I have a Trainer who clearly outlines the way she operates and what she expects from me, I have been on top of the course and have managed to complete all modules which I have gone through.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
I do prefer to work independently as well so I rarely ask for assistance unless urgent.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
Sometimes I find it difficult to get through to them via message but I understand that they all have private lives outside of work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
