4/5
I have learnt both technical skills such as working with CAD and using simulations as well as team working and communication skills and gaining confidence in the workplace.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Work rotations are structured well to give apprentices the opportunity to get involved in a variety of engineering disciplines throughout the first two years to allow us to become more well-rounded engineers before choosing a specialism.

4/5
In the workplace I receive relevant training to support me in the workplace. In addition I have weekly one to one meetings with my technical mentor who provides me support to complete tasks.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Each student has a tutor that is open to answering any questions about the module content and the lecturers are easy to contact for support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
At the moment most of the lecture content has not been very relevant in the workplace, however doing group coursework and projects has helped with working in a team and communicating with colleagues.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Both Dyson and the Dyson institute have various clubs to get involved with including football, basketball, touch rugby and volleyball. Social events are planned weekly including both day and night trips to nearby cities.
